My name is Abbie and I want to tell you my story.  I don’t remember too much about my childhood – I think I might have lived with humans because I really love them.  But, I ended up on the streets in Brooklyn – alone, hungry and cold.  I wandered around and then, luckily, ended up in the backyard of the human who would change my world forever.  After several months on the street, I had become leery of the two-legged type – most yelled at me and would not even give me food or water.  But, this human started feeding me and I liked her.  However, in November of 2017, I ended up in a trap, the hospital did something to me while I was asleep and then I was returned to the backyard.
That experience freaked me out and I started to become leery of this human.  However, she still continued to feed me, and other cats in the yard, and I started to feel comfortable around her and looked forward to when she would walk in the backyard and put food down.  So, in May of 2018, I decided to do something drastic.  I built an invisible wall around the human’s home so only I could be there – when other cats came around, I yelled at them and told them to stay 20 feet away.  I then started talking to the human – meowing all night – asking her to let me in.  And, would you believe, after a week of all this talking, I finally wore her down and she let me in!!
The human had other cats at home and I didn’t really like them.  Even though the human loved me, I didn’t want to be with her other cats.  And, that is when I met Big Hands Little Paws and was welcomed into their family!  Now, I am ready for my forever home.
I am 2 years old, healthy, FIV/FeLV negative.  I love the human touch – on my head, chin and tummy.  I will greet you at the door, will chase any ball or mouse and will sleep next to you!  Please call Big Hands Little Paws and schedule a playdate with me – I promise it will be the best decision of your life!!
