Adoption is the main mission of Big Hands Little Paws – our goal is to get all animals adopted in loving and forever homes. We rescue animals from shelters, from the street and from neglectful home situations. We will rescue any cat or dog regardless of breed, age, gender or health condition. To keep rescuing, however, we need you, your friends, your family, your colleagues and your teachers to adopt.
Please consider adopting your new family member from Big Hands Little Paws. All of our available cats and dogs were homeless, abandoned, neglected or rescued from shelters. Every “Little Paw” comes with a lifetime promise – if for any reason you can no longer care for your pet, we will always take him or her back.
To start the process, complete the cat adoption application or dog adoption application online or print the application, fill it out, scan and email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please fill the application out in its entirety and tell us as much about yourself as possible. We will start the process once the application is received – doing the reference checks and scheduling a home visit. We are a group of volunteers here at BHLP so it could take a few days to complete this process. Once approved, you will be able to adopt one of our pets.
Please familiarize yourself with the terms of our Adoption Agreement, which will need to be completed at the time of adoption. The Adoption donation is $350.00 for dogs and $250.00 for cats. All of our cats and dogs are spayed/neutered (age appropriate), vaccinated (age appropriate) and microchipped. Some of the animals we rescue have medical conditions requiring veterinary care. We always make sure all needed treatment is provided before adoption, but subsequent care or follow-up could be needed, which will be the responsibility of the adopter. We have kittens and puppies, adult dogs and cats and senior and special needs pets. All are extraordinary and want to be a member of a forever family.
